Quality Connection
Skin Deep
The body and its smooth, soft, pleasing contours. Taut, toned, glowing musculature. Aesthetically curated hair. Straight and bright teeth. Dimples, clefts, symmetry. You name it. We worship it.
Pose in mirrors. Snap selfies. Stretch, squat, bench press, polish, shave, wax, groom, spray, scrub, refine, sculpt, maybe even cut and paste. We spend considerable time and money on hair, clothes, makeup, teeth whitening, braces, and facials.
Consider the industries – beauty, fashion, social media, technology—all designed to make the wrapper just right.
Yes. The wrapper.
It’s all dressing. Peel back the glossy surface. Underneath? A slimy nauseating mess. Bones, sinew, tendons, cartilage, blood, bile, poop, urine… a sticky, pulsating processing plant.
Imagine trying to appreciate the curves and dimples and what is actually also right there, underneath and inside. The human. The body. The person.
Comprised of many different components.
Yet, to 'truly' connect and 'relate' to ourselves and another, we focus on the external 1%. We almost must deflect, ignore or block out the 99% of what is actually the human body person.

We connect to the wrapper, ignore the contents, and call it connection, love, relationship?
What’s going on? Culture? DNA tricks to make us dance?
Dunno. But, hey. Nice haircut!
