There's an old Judeo-Talmudic saying which is often a generic truth: All beginnings are difficult.
While a blank slate seems easier to fill than a crowded one, it’s usually not the case if the intention is to use the blank slate with purpose and not just to fill it. What’s the best use of this space? The more options, the tougher the start.

Somewhat similar to one’s lifespan, assuming one cares about life and death, there’s often a sense of urgency and yet hesitancy – what to do with one’s time? If time matters, how to use it matters. The more the options for time use, the more difficult to choose for what. There’s a scientific study showing that more options for the buyer reduces sales for the seller. There’s a recently minted term Paradox of Choice alluding to this.
Much of mankind has evolved to now have time at their disposal. Most don’t hunt and gather and build shelters. Buildings, grocery stores and the internet offer those things in a fraction of the time nature used to require for those things, leaving lots of time, and the headspace to analyze it.
What should I do with my life? What career should I pursue? How should I make money? What do I want to become? Who should I marry? Where should I live? The more the options for these questions, the harder it seems to make a move towards any choice.
But I digress.
I’ve got a blank slate here, a shelf, a podium, a microphone… what shall I say here? Oh, the topics, thoughts, perspectives, experiences abound… Gnarly loopy ones, angering ones, humor, sociology, religion, politics, observations…
Then there’s that “first impressions” are so impactful and important, and I wouldn't mind impressing you, increasing my hesitancy of with what to start.
Brushing all that aside, I’ll just… oh wait, I’ve already started. This is my first post.
Voila.
Welcome.
I hope to share here with you of my past and present cranial creeks, rivers, lakes, waterfalls and puddles, before I and they evaporate.
